If I could use one word to describe Janet’s Bridal Portrait Session, it would be “too.much.freakin.fun!” Oh, wait that’s more than one word. Well, I couldn’t possibly just pick one. Janet is such a genuinely wonderful person and it shows in her portraits. My goal was to capture her unique personality, her fabulous sense of humor and her inner diva. She could not have picked a more suitable veil and hairpiece to match her personality and her dress. This chick is vintage all the way! Janet chose the beautiful Huntington Beach State Park as the location for her portraits. I absolutely love the fact that there are so many portrait opportunities at the park. Between Atalaya Castle and the beach, we were able to capture a wide variety of images. The day turned out to be perfect. The weather was gorgeous as was the bride. I can’t wait to post images from the wedding!

Part of the fun of Bridal Portrait sessions is picking the location. Ashley wanted an outdoorsy look to her portraits but still wanted the classic feel. After some thought, I suggested Prestwood Country Club in Hartsville. The venue has a beautiful clubhouse but also has extensive grounds with plenty of beautiful spots for portraits. With the clubhouse being right on Prestwood Lake, we couldn’t go wrong with this location. We had a fabulous time and Ashley even brought her fiance’s putter, fishing pole and rifle to do a few fun shots. I have to say that Ashley was gorgeous and made my job so easy. Thank you Ashley for letting me get creative. I had such a great time!

Somer & Frankie {Married}

April 26, 2010

I’m a bit late on this one but I still wanted to share this awesome couple’s wedding images. They were too adorable for words. When they looked at each other, you knew they were in love. Somer said she was marrying her best friend. There’s no better way to start off a new life with someone. Thank you Somer and Frankie for letting us be a part of your special day!SC Wedding Photographer

Now that Somer and Frankie have said their “I do’s” this past weekend, I can finally share some of Somer’s Bridal Portraits. I can’t wait to post some from their wedding. It was fantastic! When Somer and I were first talking about where she wanted to take her Bridal Portraits, the word we were throwing around alot was “Grand.” She wanted a dramatic but classy venue that would fit the style of her wedding. The Country Club of South Carolina was the perfect choice. When Somer walked into the club house, my mouth dropped. Her dress was gorgeous and she was even more beautiful. Somer admitted that her dress was not exactly what she was looking for when she first set out on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress. She wanted something very simple and white. What she walked in with was a gorgeous ivory lace gown. I almost didn’t want to touch it because the detail in the dress was so delicate. She was the opitomy of the glowing bride. I still get excited when I look through the images we took that day. When you combine a stunning bride with a gorgeous location, you really can’t go wrong. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

This image was my favorite. It makes you want to know what the bride is feeling and thinking and it also shows the detail of Somer's very beautiful veil that was worn by her mother on her wedding day.

New Wedding Website

January 28, 2010

We’ve finally done it! We’ve separated our portrait and wedding websites. We feel like Weddings really deserve to be showcased on their own site so brides can concentrate solely on what they’re looking for – all things weddings! It took a while but here it is!! www.infinityweddings.net You’ll notice that you can still link to our portrait site from there. And you can also link to the wedding site from the portrait site. Let us know what you think and feel free to be totally honest. We love the feedback!!

Somer & Frankie {Engaged}

November 24, 2009

When Frankie and Somer asked me to shoot their wedding I was so thrilled. These two are the cutest couple. They laugh and joke and have so much fun together. You just don’t see a lot of that these days. They decided on Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville as the location for their Engagement Session. It’s such a beautiful place in the spring and summer but it’s also gorgeous in the fall. All of the fall colors were out and made for some beautiful images. Well, that and the fact that Somer has the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!! Thanks so much for making me laugh and making this session so much fun guys!!

Meaghan & Jason {Married}

October 19, 2009

The first word that comes to mind when I think of Meaghan & Jason is FUN! This couple is all about making sure that everyone around them is enjoying themselves. I’m so happy they chose me to capture their wedding day. I couldn’t imagine how incredibly gorgeous everything was going to be.

The event took place at the Millstone at Adam’s Pond in Columbia, SC. The amazing floral arrangements were provided by Scott at American Floral in Irmo, SC.  The food was incredible and the catering staff from Southern Way Catering kept it coming out as fast as everyone was eating it. The cake (made by Parkland Cakes) was not only gorgeous but tasted unbelievable!! And DJ Tad Graham kept on their feet and dancing the night away. Wow is the only word I can think of to describe the day. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it. A big thanks goes out to Nichole with Nichole Alexandra Photography for assisting me. Here are a few images from the day.

Grand Strand Bride

June 17, 2009

I’ve been patiently (ok, maybe not so patiently) waiting for my copy of Grand Strand Bride Magazine to come in the mail. We submitted a Real Wedding for consideration and it was chosen!! And the editor also asked us to write an article and that made it in the magazine also. I’m so excited!!! My copy came in the mail yesterday and it made my day. I was slightly disappointed that the editor had to make a few changes to my article to make it fit on the page but all in all it was a truly amazing feeling. When the editor approached me about doing the article, I panicked not knowing what to do. I’m no writer by any means and all I could think was “I’d rather poke my eyeballs out with a fork than to look like a moron.” But after getting lots of support from all of the important people in my life, I decided to give it a shot. I was actually surprised how easily it came once  I started. I guess writing about what you know comes naturally. So anyway, here it is. I hope it reaches lots of brides and grooms that are debating on whether or not to hire a professional for their wedding.

I have to say that there is no better job in the world than the one I have. I got to spend the morning yesterday with a great bride in a beautiful place with gorgeous weather. You could not have asked for a better combination. Meaghan will be getting married in October in Columbia at the beautiful Millstone on Adam’s Pond. With an 80% chance of rain in the forcast, we were worried about only being able to shoot inside the house but Mother Nature was on our side and it turned out to be a fantastic day. We walked the grounds and found so many perfect settings for Meaghan. I can’t wait to shoot her wedding this fall!! Here are a few from the session.
