We are gearing up for a wonderful holiday season this year. It’s still summer (well, technically) but are already working on our 2009 Holiday Card Collection. I’ve been patiently (ok, maybe not so patiently) waiting for my copy of Grand Strand Bride Magazine to come in the mail. We submitted a Real Wedding for consideration and it was chosen!! And the editor also asked us to write an article and that made it in the magazine also. I’m so excited!!! My copy came in the mail yesterday and it made my day. I was slightly disappointed that the editor had to make a few changes to my article to make it fit on the page but all in all it was a truly amazing feeling. When the editor approached me about doing the article, I panicked not knowing what to do. I’m no writer by any means and all I could think was “I’d rather poke my eyeballs out with a fork than to look like a moron.” But after getting lots of support from all of the important people in my life, I decided to give it a shot. I was actually surprised how easily it came once I started. I guess writing about what you know comes naturally. So anyway, here it is. I hope it reaches lots of brides and grooms that are debating on whether or not to hire a professional for their wedding.
