Miss Chloe

August 24, 2009

This newborn session was an extra special treat because Miss Chloe is Daniel’s first great niece. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on her and I just couldn’t stop loving on her. She’s such a cutie pie and a GREAT baby. She pretty much slept through the entire session and even smiled a few times for me. I can’t wait for Chloe to get a little older so we can babysit. The wonderful thing about having babies in the family is we get to love them and spoil them rotten and send them back to their parents. I can’t wait!!! Sorry Courtney….

We are gearing up for a wonderful holiday season this year. It’s still summer (well, technically) but are already working on our 2009 Holiday Card Collection. Here are just a few samples of what will be available this year for your family portraits. We also offer custom designs so feel free to let us know if you’d like something special.

A Breathtaking Visitor

August 18, 2009

Just wanted to share a couple of images that I took of this beautiful butterfly that likes to hang out in my flower bed. She is so breathtaking that I couldn’t help but try to capture her…well, not literally. We go outside every evening to find her playing in the lantana. God’s work is so incredible!!

{The H Family}

August 13, 2009

I was super excited when I was asked to shoot the H Family’s portraits at Swan Lake Iris Garden’s in Sumter, SC. It turned out to be a beautiful location (aside from all of the goose and swan poo). Little C just turned one and she was full of energy. Talk about a work out!! She had me running all over the place. But we had a fantastic time and Mom had no problem making silly faces to get the smiles…even from Dad!! Thanks so much for letting me capture this great time in your lives. Here are a few of my faves!!

Well, today starts week 6 in my battle with this summer cold (or aliens wreaking havoc on my body as I like to say). I finally got an appointment with my doctor today so hopefully I will get some meds to fight this crazy thing off. Being sick in the summer months just really puts a damper on all of the things I love about this time of year. It’s so different than being sick when it’s cold outside. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather not be sick any time of year but summer is the time for getting outside and having fun. When it’s cold, you can snuggle up under a blanket, sip on some soup and know that all you’re missing is freezing your butt off. But now I feel like I’ve wasted half of the summer away. All I’ve wanted to do for the past 3 weeks is sleep. I haven’t had the energy to play with my kids. This sickness has taken all of the life out of me and I’ve had enough. Today is the day that I fight the aliens that have set up camp and I will win!!

Please come out and have some fun at Williamsburg Regional Hospital Foundation’s 5th Annual Beach Ball Silent Auction. We will have our SmileBooth set up to capture everyone having a blast.

My Beautiful Nieces

August 5, 2009

While my sister was visiting, we took a few minutes and had a mini-session with my nieces. They are so incredibly beautiful!! I wish we would’ve had more time but the weather was not cooperating. The girls are growing up so fast. It’s really hard to only get to see them once a year. They change so much in that span of time.

Miss Scarlett is the winner of our 2009 Cutest Kids Contest. And how cute is she?!? I almost melted when I saw her big, beautiful eyes. I had so much fun with her that it almost made me want another baby…ok, I said almost. We walked around Cheraw State Park and we even got to see some little fishies. I love the curious looks she gave when she saw something new. Her age is usually pretty difficult to photograph but Miss Scarlett made my job so easy. Well, I did have a pocket full of sweet tarts that helped immensely:) Here are a few of my favorites:
