I had the pleasure of photographing Bill & Cindi’s wedding last weekend. They are such an adorable couple and made my job quite easy. The wedding was gorgeous and Bill and Cindi even took the reception up a notch when they did a fantastic dance to a montage of hit dance songs. It was so much fun to watch!! I’ve been patiently (ok, maybe not so patiently) waiting for my copy of Grand Strand Bride Magazine to come in the mail. We submitted a Real Wedding for consideration and it was chosen!! And the editor also asked us to write an article and that made it in the magazine also. I’m so excited!!! My copy came in the mail yesterday and it made my day. I was slightly disappointed that the editor had to make a few changes to my article to make it fit on the page but all in all it was a truly amazing feeling. When the editor approached me about doing the article, I panicked not knowing what to do. I’m no writer by any means and all I could think was “I’d rather poke my eyeballs out with a fork than to look like a moron.” But after getting lots of support from all of the important people in my life, I decided to give it a shot. I was actually surprised how easily it came once  I started. I guess writing about what you know comes naturally. So anyway, here it is. I hope it reaches lots of brides and grooms that are debating on whether or not to hire a professional for their wedding.

 

Every once in a great while you get to meet someone that is truly, genuinely good. I had an opportunity a few years ago to meet not just one but two people that fit into this catagory. They are a wonderful couple that have been blessed with the sweetest little boy, Caden. I jumped at the chance to do his newborn session. He had to be the best baby ever. He never fussed or cried and really let me do whatever I wanted. I think he just LOVED being in his birthday suit!! The angel shot fit so well..he was definitely a little angel. I have to say that there is no better job in the world than the one I have. I got to spend the morning yesterday with a great bride in a beautiful place with gorgeous weather. You could not have asked for a better combination. Meaghan will be getting married in October in Columbia at the beautiful Millstone on Adam’s Pond. With an 80% chance of rain in the forcast, we were worried about only being able to shoot inside the house but Mother Nature was on our side and it turned out to be a fantastic day. We walked the grounds and found so many perfect settings for Meaghan. I can’t wait to shoot her wedding this fall!! One of the great things about Myrtle Beach is that there is always something going on that’s great for the family. This weekend is the Grand Strand’s Sun Fun Festival 2009. There are so many great events and activities to see, it’s going to be hard to choose! Here are just a few:
