Archive for April, 2009

After spending the entire morning (and most of the afternoon) holding my hair back over the toilet, I thought I’d pay tribute to the things that help me when I’m not feeling so well.

1) Earl Grey Tea (with honey)…just the thing you need when you’re feeling a little icky

2) My favorite blanket just out of the dryer

3) Lots of hugs and kisses….provided by my baby girl

Session with Little T

April 29, 2009

Wow! Look at those curls!! I had the opportunity to do a session with Little T last weekend and it was so much fun. She has 4 older brothers and sisters and they all love her to death. How could you not? She is too sweet and adorable to boot.  Ok, the little glasses have got to be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!!

Just wanted to share some of the images from Third Thursday last week at the Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville, SC. We had such a great time and the food was fantastic.

1) Tech Support: I call Tech Support to help me with every problem I have for anything. Why waste time trying to figure out how to troubleshoot a problem when there is someone out there that can do it for you.

2) www.ilovephotography.com: This is a wonderful resource if you want to know anything about photography. The people there are fantastic and are willing to help you though any problem you may be having.

3) And last but not least, I am thrilled that tomorrow if Friday. This has been one crazy week, so I’m looking forward to relaxing a little. I have 2 sessions this weekend and a golf dinner to go to with Daniel but I will find some time to unwind.

Super cute Storyboard

April 23, 2009

I thought I’d share a storyboard I made for Lindsay. I can’t wait to hang this. She is so much fun to photograph!!

I am not above bribing my kids to let me take their picture. That’s really the only way they will let me do it. I’m actually really surprised that Lindsay let me get so many of her. We had so much fun playing around, but when she was done, she let me know. Gage really has no interest in having his picture taken….by anyone, especially me. But I did talk him into letting me take a few this weekend. He’s growing up so fast and I really want to document this time in his life with real photographs and not just the standard yearbook photo and team pictures from sports. I’m so happy that he gave me a few minutes to capture who he is right now. The images speak volumes to me as a mother.

1) Hobby Lobby….I kind of wish I lived in Florence just so I could swing by every day (ok, maybe not every day but at least every other day). I’m going to try to get over there this weekend to pick up some really cute parasols to use for a bridal session I have coming up.

2) Dandee Designs…I am soooo happy with my portrait packaging. I get excited every time I look at it.

3) My dog, Duke. He is incredibly high maintenance and we have to fit our lives around his every need but I do love that dog. I never thought I could love a dog as I have always been a cat person. But Duke has wrapped me around his little paw and I’m hooked.

Join us tonight at the Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville for Spring fun. The fashion show will be showcasing some local shops and Mom was asked to be a model. How fun is that?!? I can’t wait to see her strutting her stuff down the catwalk. There will also be some great door prizes from local vendors (including Infinity Images). So if you are looking for some food and fun tonight, join us and we’ll have a great time! See you in Hartsville!

Spring Break in DC

April 14, 2009

I know the last thing that most people want to do is look at other people’s vacation photos…so I thought I’d share a few of mine. Well, most of them aren’t completely boring. I tried to take some that would be interesting for you guys to look at. The kids were definitely not wanting to get in front of the camera, but I forced a few…and you can tell. These were just a few (ok more than a few) of my favorites.

Kate’s Bridal Portraits

April 13, 2009

Ok, now that I’m back from vacation, I can take a few minutes to breath and get some work done. I had the pleasure of shooting Kate’s bridal portraits a couple of weeks ago and we had such a great time. The Country Club of South Carolina was the backdrop so we couldn’t go wrong there. Ok, so it was the windiest (is that a word?) day in the history of the world, but we still got some great shots of Kate in her beautiful dress. Here are just a few…
